Navaratri is knocking at the door and we are rolling up our sleeves to decorate our homes and welcome our guests. While everyone is looking for ideas to make their homes beam with beauty, here are some craft ideas from us:
DECORATE DANDIYA STICKS
The dance form Garba and Dandiya belonging the state of Gujarat has gained worldwide popularity. It is a dance form depicting Lord Krishna’s dance with his gopikas. You can decorate your dandiya sticks at home, all you need is two wooden sticks, a tassel or little bells, different coloured satin ribbons and glue.
Put some glue over the wooden stick, pick up a satin ribbon of your choice and wrap it around the stick. Voila, you are ready to groove!
A rangoli will add colours and vibrancy to your home and make it look effervescent. You can choose from a lot of options- geometrical or floral patterns, dandiya couples or diyas etc.
LIGHTS AND LAMPS
Lights bestow positivity in your life, so this time invest in some good lamps or make some yourself. Let there be light, let there be life!
Earthen pots have continued to stay charming since ever. They add a cozy accent to your home. You can use m-seal to create flower petals or any other design of your own choice and paint them in bright colours. Place them on your centre table with some flowers around and get ready to receive compliments from all your guests.
Though it is a very old method of decorating your home, but it can never go out of trend. You can customize the garlands as per choice of flowers and add to your house the freshness and vibrancy altogether. You can also create a rangoli pattern with flowers instead of colours or both.
